     Inspired by God's vision, compelled by the love of Christ, and empowered by the grace of His Holy Spirit, we are determined to Preach God's Word to the people of Davao City, Philippines and to the uttermost regions within the reach of our faithful members. It is our prayer that people may listen, know the Truth and turn from their sinful ways, allowing the Lord to transform their lives and eventually join us in our aim to Change our World within and around us according to God's design, enjoying each other's company and blessings, and glorifying God as we move on to His heavenly call.
     With God's help, the Matina Baptist church has been endeavoring to fulfill its Founder's mission for the city.
     Having been saved and our lives changed by Christ himself, we have been willfully and gladly joining the Lord in His mission.
     With unaccounted baptized and affiliate members coming in and going out of our church since its foundation, and with several churches planted in the past by its migrating and jointly cooperating members, we have presently maintained about 200 worshippers and active members, supporting and doing various ministry within the city, particularly in Matina area.
     At present, the church is doing outreaches in adjoining communities, mostly among needy areas.
     Beside our regular worship, prayer meetings, Bible studies, and holistic development projects, like free medical missions, preschool Christian education and in partnership with the Compassion Philippines, directly ministers to more than 300 individual children. Our aim for these children goes with the goal in the Compassion, that is to release them from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty, and enable them to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adults. Along with these children are our family outreaches that includes their parents and siblings that the Lord's mission may also be fulfilled in them.
